The roofing system that has the potential to outlast the structure it is protecting
The Cure It roofing system is the proven solution to almost any flat roofing problem.
Unlike most other waterproofing systems, Cure It is formed in situ on the roof deck to create a solid, single-ply, fully bonded waterproofing membrane over the entire roof without any seams joints or welds.
Cure It is a hard wearing structural waterproofing system which cannot be cut with a knife, won’t deteriorate under UV light or extreme heat and will tolerate foot traffic.
The system comes complete with a 20 year guarantee on the materials from the manufacturer and a guarantee from the installer that the roof will remain leak free for at least 20 years.
As recent studies have shown*, some of the earliest GRP roofs laid more than thirty years ago are still in service today.
*The Building Research Establishment (BRE) conducted a survey in 2001 which found the condition of several GRP buildings around 25 to 30 years old to be structurally sound. (Halliwell, S. (2001) NGCC Conference Composites in Construction: In Service Performance of GRP composites in Buildings, 30-31.)
The environmentally friendly solution.
- GRP has an incredibly good environmental profile; much less energy is used to produce it compared to many other roofing materials.
- Cure It is only installed with OSB3 18mm decking. All UK manufacturers of this board have full certification from the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).
- Cure It is completely cold applied and does not require burners or torches.
- The cured polyester roofing resins used in our GRP laminate do not give off substances that can harm the environment or create any other toxic by-products.
- The long life span of Cure It* outperforms virtually any other roofing system. This eliminates the environmental cost of producing and installing replacement roofing systems every 10-20 years.
- Cure It can be specified to comply with the latest Part ‘L’ regulations.
- The unique flexibility of the Cure It system means that fixtures or fittings such as solar panels, wind turbines or skylights can be easily added to the roof as required at any stage of the roofs lifespan.
Any colour, any size, anywhere...
The Cure It system can be used on any size of roof no matter how complex and is available with a choice of smooth or non-slip finishes in three standard colours or any BS 4800 colour.
The Cure It pre-formed GRP edge trims allow the system to be adapted for almost any feature including, but not limited to: window casements, gutters, parapet walls, outlets, skylights, pipes, vents, stairs, walls, roof structures and simulated rolled lead roofs, which can all be weatherproofed or incorporated into the laminate with ease.
Cure It is an extremely durable material which can withstand foot traffic as standard and can be specifi ed to withstand frequent heavy foot traffic on walkways or balconies. It is also available with a choice of non-slip finishes. In many cases the Cure It system can be used to easily adapt flat roofs for use as balconies or terraces or incorporate a green roof or roof garden.
Because a Cure It roof is constructed from one layer, it is less labour intensive and quicker to install than many other roofing systems. The flexibility of the system means that any additions such as balustrade supports, promenade tiles, security lights or cameras can easily be added as required during or after installation.
